Little Rock Mayor’s Race

Things have been hectic around here, and I have neglected this important topic. Let’s get right to it.

Barbara Graves must be beaten. There is no more important task this election season than to restore local government to the people, and Ms. Graves is nothing more than a full time servant of real estate developers and special interests. These are the wonderful people who have defiled Highway 10 and favored a small sector of the city down on the river.

Her endorsement by Gene Fortson, hand picked pawn of special interests to serve on the City Board, speaks a volume.

Let me repeat. Barbara Graves is public enemy number one.

Jessie Mason is way past his time.

That leaves us with Mark Stodola and Bill Walker. As far as I am concerned, either one will do. Although Mark’s campaign is a little too slick for my simple taste, I do think he might be the better of the two.

If Bill Walker should stand up for black folks, that would be fine with me. I figure ordinary white folks might get some of the benefits too.

The move by Walter Smiley and Joyce Elliott to change Little Rock city government will shake the establishment to its’ very foundation. They will meet fierce and desperate opposition, but straight ward representation is the only way to throw out the rascals once and for all.

This is a rare moment of opportunity. Let us lay hold of it and make some necessary changes.
