The Oklahoma State House has passed a law would require a blood or saliva sample for DNA testing to be taken when a person is arrested on a felony complaint and booked in a jail. It is called Julie’s Law and is named for the slain Benton ballerina Julie Buskin. Her killer was ultimately identified by a DNA sample on file.
