Here is my PERSONAL OPINION… some endorsements for tomorrow’s election….

FOR SKARDA, Against Mary McGowan whose court is the black hole of the Pulaski County Circuit Court. THIS ONE IS GOING TO BE REALLY IMPORTANT IF YOU SHOULD BE SO UNFORTUNATE AS TO HAVE A CASE ASSIGNED TO HER COURT. She takes years!

FOR JOYCE ELLIOTT. Her opponent, Irma Hunter Brown, is cozy with Lake Maumelle land developers. Joyce will work hard for ya’ and she’s honest.

Wendell Griffen for Appeals court. Finally a real man who says what he thinks with reason and dignity.

Mike Huckabee says he would be proud to be John McCain’s  running mate and that his quip about Democratic Presidential candidate Barack Obama was a mistake. responded to an offstage noise during his speech to the National Rifle Association by suggesting it was Barack Obama diving to the floor because someone had aimed a gun at him.

Obama is expected to take 51 delagates in the Oregon primary tomrrow, and Hillary 52 in Kentucky.

The Dollarway School District wants voters to approve a property-tax reduction Tomorrow. It’s a way to get around a lawsuit filed against the district to overturn another millage increase. The district wants to nullify the suit and start collecting money for a bond issue.

The Mornign News of Northwest Arkansas reports that the troubled economy and drop in some stock prices have nearly wiped out Senator Mark Pryor’s family assets.

The new operators of the Doubletree Hotel in Little Rock will do $12 million in renovations  this summer.

A Little Rock judge has ruled in favor of an AME bishop being sued by two ministers who claim they were improperly reassigned.

The Dillards’s shareholders meeting was conducted with typical swiftness. Four new board members were elected, including one representing dissident shareholders. Six additional stores will close by year’s end.

AT&T Arkansas is closing the company’s last operator services center in the state on August 6th when it shuts down its Fayetteville facility.  The closure will affect the jobs of 67 full-time employees.

A Johnson County 12-year-old will face a charge of driving while under the influence. The trouble began when the boy had a 10-year-old friend sleep over at his home. They took the father’s  company owned pickup and did about $12,000 property damage.

The University of Arkansas won the SEC Outdoor Track and Field championship , John McDonnell’s last. Athletic Director Jeff Long says the search for McDonnell ‘s replacement will heat up in June.
