2008 is already the deadliest tornado year in the United States since 1998 and seems on track to break the record for the number of twisters in a year, according to the National Weather Service. Nationally, the death toll is around 110 and 20 of those are in Arkansas.

He already had a full ride scholarship, but was awarded the Gates Millennium Scholarship and that is valued at $250,000. Williams says he can plan for graduate school now.
