BIG BROTHER: ChIma sent to Ministry of Love, Michelle ousted as HOH

There are a lot bigger things wrong with this crazy world, but gosh darn it, you would think the stinking producers at CBS could keep their grimy mitts off the Big Brother game. The story is that Chima has been tossed for “threats.” Have these people not seen Russell at work? How about Evil Dick from a few years ago?

With Chima forced to leave the house on Saturday due to her fiery outburst, Michele lost her power as HOH as a result.

Chima was one of Michele’s nominees for eviction, and Big Brother producers decided that Michele should not have the power to evict two people in the same week.

In a new HOH competition that took place on Saturday, Jordan emerged victorious.

OK, it’s only a game. Does that give the producers any right to make up the rules as they go along? I am sure they have some sort of fig leaf to cover their cheating butts, but that is all it is – a legal fiction.

The producers of Survivor interfered with the first season on behalf of keeping Rudy around on the presumption (probably correct) that he was good for ratings. In this instance, do the Big Brother big shots think a mouthy black woman is bad for business?

Putting race and gender aside (as much as possible), there are federal laws about rigging contests. While there are more urgent affairs on our national agenda, this kind of cynical misuse of the public airwaves ought to be under some sort of federal review.

I’m afraid anyone who takes this stuff seriously, needs to get a life. I have read many articles stating that these games put a great deal of pressure on these contestants as well as lots of liquor in order to get them to do and say “outrageous” things. Putting strangers together for three months without any outside stimuli, no matter how “nice” the environment is causes a type of sensory deprivation. Unfortunately, these shows will continue unless and until the general public puts an end to it by NOT WATCHING. The producers do whatever they want in order to get ratings including a secret power given to someone by the public.
