Christopher Hitchens on Religion in the Military: Politics Power – vanityfair.com

OK, he’s a raving atheist lunatic, but a stopped clock is right twice a day. He is probably right about the Air Force Academy. A cheer for Jesus? How 9th. grade is that? Are these guys supposed to be military officers? I would expect a more thoughtful display of religion. Much of that kind of stuff may be out of bounds on a taxpayer supported institution. Note my use of “some” and “may.”

On the other hand, are we Americans really smart enough to convert the Afgans to Christianity? That would drive ol’ Osama crazy.

This article drips of smug elitist “I hate Christians” B. S., but you should probably read it anyway.
