Despite crushing electoral victory, backers of LR sales tax vigorously continue ad campaign

Did anybody else get one of these in the mail today?

LR Sales tax glossy advertising piece

Supporters of the LR sales tax initiative have begun cleanup operations following a resounding electoral victory resulting in the passage of a one-cent sales tax that is expected to generate one-half billion dollars over the next decade. When asked for comment, Little Rock “strong” mayor Mark Stodola was quoted as saying, “Yeah, the election is over, but we still have these ‘naysayers’ and they must be convinced. This is part of our transparency, besides we had a few thousand full legal page, color glossy mail-outs left and we hate to waste anything. It’s part of being transparent. Just winning isn’t good enough. We want people like Pat Lynch to say ‘Uncle!.’ Otherwise, we’re going to keep filling their mailboxes with this stuff. We have thousands left over.”

(OK, that was satire. That’s what I ALWAYS say when I am about to go too far.)

But seriously, did anybody else get one of these in the mail today?

UNCLE! Stop it! You win!
