John Brummett re-joins Arkansas Democrat-Gazette

Well, this feels kinda’ funny. I guess Paul Greenberg has saved the paper. Subscriptions are on the rise – only surpassed by the skyrocketing ad revenue.

But seriously folks, John Brummett is a better columnist than Pat Lynch. It’s his chosen profession and I have yet to find my life calling. Brummett has a distinctive “insider” view on Arkansas politics. That has been his full-time job for decades now, and he does it well.

It is good to see the Democrat-Gazette making an effort to improve its standing. John will do a great job, whether that is enough waits to be seen. Good luck, John. Happy New Year, Paul.

  1. Brummett Sucks says:

Brummett is a flaming idiot. That is all.

  2. Brummett who? says:

Flaming idiot is way off the mark. What he is, is a spineless liberal. If there was a patent on spineless liberalism, he would own it.

  3. patlynch says:

Since when is standing up to the majority viewpoint “spineless?” It does not take much moral courage to be a consistent follower and that seems to pretty much sum up most Arkansas politicians. Brummett has a viewpoint that has been developed over years based on learning and vast experience. Spineless? I don’t think so.
