The final hours

Over the past few days, many people have asked me how “the race” would turn out. This tells me several things.

  • Many people concentrate on the marquis race and ignore numerous important elections on the state and local level.
  • “The race” is more important than the issues.
  • The outcome of “the race”(as opposed to policy) has some transcendent importance.

This may come as a surprise to many, but I do not know who will win, although I think the popular vote will be close. I would hoot and holler if Mitt Romney won the popular vote but lost in the Electoral College. What sheer delight to hear all the paid-for mouthpieces of billionaires go nuts about the injustice of it all and how the election was fixed and the usual “poor me” victim card that is so frequently played.

Furthermore, I did vote, but, as a Christian, I am not emotionally invested in the outcome. Both of the major candidates have the famous “feet of clay.” Each is totally sold out to modern culture, so I am still grateful to be a citizen of the Heavenly City and my hope is in another Ruler.

Harder days are coming and this nation has lost the ability to solve problems. This is because we will not treat each other with even a minimum of respect. God save the United States!
